R400NG AIS Receiver Unit OverviewThe R400NG is an advanced AIS receiver unit that includes a built-in GPS receiver, Ethernet interface, and USB port, specifically designed for effective coastal monitoring of AIS-equipped vessels.When connected to an Ethernet network—either directly or via a router to a PC running compatible software—the R400NG allows for real-time display of AIS data transmitted from ships within VHF range. This visual representation helps monitor maritime traffic effectively. The unit can also be remotely installed, enabling the transmission of AIS data over the Internet to a fixed IP address for use on a dedicated server.
The R400NG is engineered for the professional market and utilizes Comar’s highly regarded, internationally specified high-sensitivity dual-channel parallel receiver.
