R400NX AIS Receiver OverviewThe R400NX is a robust AIS receiver unit designed for monitoring the position, speed, and heading of AIS vessels within VHF range. It is capable of decoding various AIS message types, including Class A, Class B, Aids to Navigation, and SARTS.When connected to a PC via an RJ45 Ethernet connector, the R400NX allows AIS data to be viewed directly or shared across a local network. Additionally, it can be remotely mounted, enabling AIS data to be sent over the Internet to a fixed IP address for use on a dedicated server. The R400NX has been tailored for the professional market and employs Comar’s highly sensitive dual-channel parallel receiver technology.

Key Difference from R400NThe primary distinction between the R400N and R400NX lies in the network module utilized within the product. The R400N features a Digi module, while the R400NX is equipped with a Lantronix XPort module, which requires a slightly different setup process.
