The MD53A is a state-of-the-art Electromagnetic Fluxgate Compass that directly detects the Earth’s magnetic field and serves as a reliable alternative or backup to traditional Gyro systems.
OVERVIEW
The MD53A/B is a high-performance Earth’s Field Electro-Magnetic Compass that detects the Earth’s magnetic field without any moving parts, eliminating the need for a host magnetic compass. This design allows the MD53A/B to act as the sensing component in a solid-state Electro Magnetic Compass (EMC) system, providing an efficient backup ors alternative to Gyro system.
This rugged, weatherproof MD53A/B offers digital NMEA 0183 heading data (HDT, HDG, HDM) when paired with the MD97CSP Compass Sensor Processor. Its vessel heading data can be transmitted throughout the ship and displayed on a Marine Data compass repeater. Additionally, magnetic corrections and heading fluctuations are managed using the MD71THD Variation and Deviation Corrector.
Constructed from durable aluminum alloy and finished in a Window Grey (RAL7040) semi-gloss powder coat, the MD53A/B complements your existing marine navigation equipment effectively.
